CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

Construction began in February with the relocation our grinding department several yards west to create floor space for the Chevalier FVM. Like the Okuma VTM-200YB, the Chevalier is BIG. Concrete work begins the evening of Monday, March 5th.


March 5, 2011: Groundbreaking

Old Concrete Depth: 8"

New Concrete Depth: 36"

		The total footprint of the machine is 21.25' x 42.5' and the height is approx 19'.

Now we wait. Site preparation is nearing completion and the concrete requires three weeks to set.

The Chevalier FVM-4022DCL is scheduled for June delivery.

Late May:

Our Chevalier FVM-4022DCL being dismantled and packaged for shipment; Chevalier Plant, Taiwan

Testing is complete and the Chevalier is en route to the US.

Shipment is via cargo ship to California and cross country freight.

Delivery has been delayed slightly, with a new ETA of late June.

DELIVERY PROGRESS

On July 9, 2012 the base of the Chevalier FVM-4022DCL was delivered. Sections of the machine will be delivered throughout the week of July 9th, with placement and installation beginning July 11th and continuing into the week of July 16th.




The Chevalier FVM-4022DCL base, not yet installed. The OKUMA VTM-200Yb can be seen in the background. The two machines will share a crane bay.

		Installation of the Chevalier FVM-4022DCL was completed on August 10th. Demand for machine time on the Chevalier is high and it was making chips Monday, 8/13.
